Orange Jacques Capelle 70’s - Mahogany

Pfew… Finally got this guy up and running. This project has been lurking for quite sometime. I had the shells redone by a furniture specialist in Freiburg (Deutschland). The edges were also redone in Basel Switzerland at Biit drums. Only to find out that I was missing parts to complete it. I wanted to keep as much of the original parts functional but not all parts ended up being original. The batter side of the bassdrum is the worst example. The front hoop and lugs are original but the hoop and claws and lug screws in the back are not. The hoop is actually shorter and made of maple. The kit sounds warm and simple. It has tone and is sensitive in all the right places. It comes with the original tom holder and another 14” tom. I ran out of lugs to complete it. Maybe someone could make a snom out of it. The snare drum is not the greatest but it does the job and should be kept with the kit. Good luck finding info on the brand. Google doesn’t say much. They are from France. Sizes are 22” 13” 16” 14”. I want find better bassdrum claws for the batter side. We’ll see what happens between the time I list it and the time I sell it.
