gnöd-möd™ --- Cards for Music, 2025 - Matte

gnöd-möd™ is a deck of cards I invented to help people progress in their musical understandings and capabilities.

It uses pictures as a visual analog to describe different sets of pitches and how they relate to each other, but only in sets of 2, 3, and 4 distinct pitch sets.

There are 60 total cards in the deck. 41 of these cards will tell you which notes to choose and how to order them around and 19 cards will suggest more complex types of conceptual relationship for whichever notes you might choose.

This deck was modeled after the major scale but will work with any other 7 note scale (other scales with fewer or more pitches will have their own expansion packs down the line...).

gnöd-möd™ also incorporates a set of 3 dice to randomize the order of pitches in the set. The dice are:

• Standard cubic D6
• non-icosal D11
• Rounded rhombic dodecahedron D2/3/4 multi-die.

And! The dice come in random colors! Includes a black velvet pouch for storage.
