Wow - A one-of-a kind Stratocaster stunner! This rare, blue Stratoburst collectible comes from the storied “Dan Smith” era of American Fender production. It’s been lovingly cared for since the early 80’s exhibiting very little play wear. The proportions of the burst are perfect with a generous amount of silver against the blue. Routinely kept in its case for storage, its colors remain exceptionally rich and vibrant; they reflect a deep, electric blue with virtually no greening to the silver parts of the finish.

And as hard as it may be to come across any original Stratoburst, this one also sports a rosewood fingerboard. The majority of Stratobursts featured maple fingerboards - just a handful shipped with the rarer rosewood option. Consequently, barely any have ever appeared on the vintage market.

All parts original except for the pickups. According to the prior owner, they’re earlier Seymour Duncan Custom Shops (apparently wound by Seymour himself) and sound fantastic! The guitar weighs in at a nice and comfy 7lbs. 10oz. Will ship out protected in a Fender hard case with some of the original paperwork also. For the collector or player.
