Get famous with a Framus!

Here is a beautiful 1972 Texan acoustic. Framus had been making high quality instruments since the 1960s and the Texan was their most famous acoustic. These were produced in West Germany into the the mid 1970s. This one is in astounding condition with no checking at all which is a rarity with vintage Framus and Eko acoustics. The only issue is a missing strap peg on the bottom. The action is high on this guitar and it could use a shim (these are bolt on necks) and a set up.

Spruce top, bottom arched & laminated maple or multi-ply neck with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.

This is a Vintage Framus Model Texan 5/196 Acoustic.

This guitar was made in west Germany in 1971 (judging by the numbers stamped on the label)

This is truly a beautiful sounding guitar. The spruce top combined with the arched maple back and sides give you an incredible balance of natural resonance, bass response, excellent projection, good articulation and shimmering chords.

This guitar is in great cosmetic condition. It's very clean, showing only few signs of wear. This is almost unheard of for a guitar this old.
