Performing over 3,000 major concert events in over 40 countries, Russ McKinnon has sat in some of the most desired and demanding drum chairs in the music industry. Playing and recording with some of the biggest names in the business, this humble sideman's legendary lineup of headliners and top producers is clearly impressive. Tower of Power, Joe Cocker, Barry Manilow, David Foster, Phil Ramone, Clive Davis, Elton John and Bette Midler are just the tip of the iceberg.
This Sabian 20" ride cymbal was Russ' go-to ride cymbal during his tenure with Tower of Power from 1989 to 1995. He played it on almost every performance during this period. The label printing has been polished off this cymbal. I it looks and sounds like an HH series medium dark ride. It delivers a traditional, dark, warm, and complex tone. Really nice stick articulation, and the sustain doesn't get too out of control. Great condition. No issues, cracks, key-holing or dents. It's autographed on the bottom side by Russ McKinnon!!
