For your consideration, one 1966 Yamaha SG-2 in vibrant sunburst finish. In great condition overall - a few knicks and dings and scratches as would be expected for a guitar of this vintage. A reliable and comfortable guitar to play (whether sitting or standing) and able to produce a variety of tones via it's lead and rhythm switches. (Think a Jazzmaster...only cooler.)
Frets are in great condition with plenty of life. Vibrato is smooth and provides accurate return-to-pitch. (Original arm not included, as it was missing when this Yamaha came to me, but I had great luck using a cheap aftermarket Jazzmaster arm with a little painter's tape where it inserts into the collet).
Comes with a two-latch original Yamaha case. Someone partially painted the case silver/gray and the handle is missing but it's still protecting this SG-2 59 years later so I guess it comes down to function over form, protection over prettiness.
Discover how Yamaha out-Fendered Fender by strapping on this mean machine - both a musical instrument and a work of art. (If you're not entirely sold, just remember that musical trailblazer and recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Link Wray [class of 2023], loved his Yamaha SG-2.)
