Audio Guild was founded by Don Bonham, after his ownership of Magnatone amps. Because he owned the patents for the Magnatone vibrato circuit, he was able to include the very same circuit in these amps. They manufactured this amp under a variety of brand names including Titano and Versatone, and these amps have reportedly been used by greats such as Carol Kaye and Jack Casady in the '60s and '70s. It features warm, dynamic tube tones with a healthy amount of crunch when the volume is cranked. The real gem here is the tremolo which uses Magnatone's iconic harmonic trem circuit for some wonderfully warbly modulation tones.
Needs some servicing, under $200 worth, it's in fair condition with some tolex peeling and some cosmetic grit. I had the power cable replaced with a long (10 ft) 3 prong. Recently serviced by AJ at Bay State Vintage Guitars.
