This is a very impressive Ramirez-style concert guitar. It's a near spitting image of my 1a Ramirez. I've included photos of the Koba next to a 1a Ramirez I own. Looking at the photos, the Ramirez is always on the left.
Both in looks and tone the Koba compares favorably, at around one-third the price.
It also has very comfortable action (see photos).
It has a cedar top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The scale is 660 mm as best I can measure and 52 mm at the nut.
It's in quite good condition for an instrument made in 1981. There is some normal playing wear: some scratches on the back, one string ding and a minor gouge near the edge of the top (see photos). All in all this is a very nice concert guitar at an affordable price.
I've been involved in the guitar world for many decades and am beginning to sell my collection of classical and flamenco instruments.
