Fender Custom Shop 69 HSS Strat - Super Heavy Relic Ocean Turquoise/3-Tone Sunburst

Here at Peach Guitars, we're obsessed with vintage Fender guitars from the 1950s and 1960s. Those guitars have a real magic to them and were responsible for some of the most iconic and influential music ever recorded. The Fender Custom Shop team work tirelessly to recreate the magic of these original instruments for todayâs players, and they really do an incredible job!

This 1969 Stratocaster is one seriously cool instrument, itâs the perfect guitar for someone who loves hot-rodded tones from the 1980s! It features a period correct Alder body, which is super resonant and punchy. The Super Heavy aged Ocean Turquoise over 3-Tone Sunburst nitrocellulose finish has been authentically aged by the Custom Shop team, and they have done a fantastic job here - colour over colour finishes always grab our attention at Peach and this is not a combo that we see often at all. It really works with the Super Heavy Relic as it showcases what the guitar is all about, simulating a guitar that's been to hell and back on its gigging journey.

The rift sawn maple neck looks great and is super comfortable to play. It features Fenderâs 60s style oval âCâ neck shape, which is one of our most popular neck shapes. It measures .790â at the 1st fret, and .930â at the 12th fret. The AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard looks spot-on too. It features 22 jumbo frets, a 12â radius, 1.6875â nut width, and black dot inlays. This is great news for fast players looking for a low-action with super easy bends and vibrato.

It loaded with an HSS pickup loadout, which is versatile and fun to play through. Itâs got a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge, and a pair of Hand-wound Fat 60s single coils in both neck and middle positions. You also have a built in S-1 switch on the volume control which allows you to split the bridge humbucker.

Another important feature of this guitar is the factory fitted Floyd Rose bridge which is recessed, allowing you to both pull up and push down on the bridge. It also has a set of high quality Schaller tuners, which give you great stability and tuning consistency.
