Gibson Limited Edition Marcus King ES-345

The Gibson Marcus King ES-345 is a signature semi-hollow electric guitar that serves as a stage-ready reimagining of King’s cherished 1962 ES-345, nicknamed "Big Red," which has been passed down through three generations of his family.  Originally released as an exclusive Gibson Custom Shop model featuring a rare sideways Vibrola, the standard Gibson Artist version modernizes the design with a fixed Vibrola tailpiece for improved tuning stability and simplified mono wiring while retaining the vintage aesthetic. 

Key specifications and features include:

• Body: 3-ply maple/poplar/maple construction with a solid maple center block and quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce bracing for rich resonance and feedback resistance. 

• Neck: Mahogany neck with a Rounded profile (approx.  0.875" at 1st fret, 0.975" at 12th), featuring an Indian rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 12" radius. 

• Electronics: Dual Custombucker humbuckers (replicas of PAFs) with Alnico III magnets, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors, and controlled by per-pickup volume/tone knobs and a 3-way selector. 

• Hardware: Gold-plated ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons, Graph Tech nut, and a custom Marcus King stud anchor cover. 

• Finish: Sixties Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer with acrylic split parallelogram inlays and cream binding.
