One of the best value-for-money cassette decks available today. A mid-tier audiophile component engineered to deliver premium playback fidelity and precise recording, especially when paired with high-quality Type II or Type IV tapes. It's an excellent choice for archival transfers and dedicated cassette listening and recording.
History & Condition of my DR-2
* Purchased new around 1992, it was acquired as an auxiliary deck. By that time I was primarily using CDs and recording digitally, so the unit has seen very limited use. I am the original and sole owner. It has been carefully stored and gently handled throughout its life.
* It remains in excellent condition with original parts and components. Belt replacement was carried out by a specialist in 2017. No repairs or modifications have been performed. All photos are recent and accurately reflect its current state. A newly recorded video from 17/06/2025 showing the deck in operation is also included. This deck has been thoroughly tested over the past few days, including extended playback of full cassettes over several hours, during which it demonstrated consistently smooth operation and reliable performance.
