I purchased this new in October 1978 and it was my bread and butter instrument for many years. I took it to every gig I played and it has been much loved. The playability is excellent. The overall condition is very good, with all its original parts and electronics. The strap pins and the truss rod cover are the only modifications. There are a couple nicks and dings as expected for an instrument this vintage, on the body or on the binding but nothing to serious or to distract you from the beauty of it. It even kept its original nut and the sticker from the Gibson shop. I did wear belt buckles, so some varnish is missing from the back. The neck plays like butter. This instrument is still in stereo; the cable is of course included. The Varitone works very well too. The tailpiece is the trapeze style. All hardware is gold plated. Only 159 Wine Red es-345 TD were produced in 1978.
The clasps and the handle on the original hard shell case failed years ago. It comes with a SKB flight case.
