I am offering a G&L Fullerton Deluxe Legacy from 2018, a handmade in Fullerton, California (USA), G&L stratcoaster luxury model with an extremely resonant swamp ash body, bolt-on hard rock maple neck with modern classic neck profile and 42.9mm bone nut, elegant hard rock maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and 9.5" radius, three hot G&L CLF-100 Alnico 5 singlecoil pickups, and high-quality Leo Fender-designed G&L Dual-Fulcrum vibrato bridge in a brilliant blonde high-gloss finish with white single-ply pickguard and shiny chrome hardware in mint condition, including black G&G Deluxe Black Tolex hardshell case, manufacturer's papers (including C.o.A.) and professional setup with 10-gauge Ernie Ball strings.
Leo Fender just couldn't help himself. Only a few years after selling Fender to CBS for health reasons, “Music Man” was Leo's next project in the 1970s. It wasn't his last, because in 1980, G&L was added to the mix. And although he never seriously played guitar or bass himself, he always had an open ear for the wishes of musicians in order to constantly optimize the instruments.
Manufactured in 2016 at the legendary Fullerton factory in California (USA), this G&L Legacy from the Fullerton Deluxe Series is one of the top-of-the-line models and, with its semi-transparent blonde high-gloss finish, crisp, bright maple fingerboard, and single-ply white pickguard. The solid alder body features generous contours for the belly, allowing the guitar to immediately nestle gently against the body's proportions, and its good weight of 3.3kg ensures excellent acoustic resonance. The rather slim maple neck with a Modern Classic profile is easy to play and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets.
On the amp, the three G&L USA CLF-100 Alnico 5 singlecoil pickups developed by Leo Fender deliver dynamic, wiry singlecoil sounds with plenty of bell-like overtones and singing mids – ideal for lively vintage sounds, but also distorted with enough bite and punch for modern applications.
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
The workmanship is extremely high quality, which is immediately apparent when you hold the instrument in your hands.
