Made in USA in our Dover, Ohio shop of Cattle bone.
See VERY important guitar pin size information below but first, here is a bit about our pins:
Our pins are made of cattle bone and will Improve your instrument's acoustics and appearance. Soft materials like wood, plastic and horn do not carry the sound to the soundboard of your instrument as well as does a hard material like bone, fossil bone or fossil ivory. We make pins from dense materials because we are making pins for serious players who are working to improve the tonal properties of their instrument. These dense material pins render greater clarity and sustain to an instrument.
These are finely machined pins with crisp collars and fine lines. These are made with machined cutter heads in precision German lathes, not CNC, and are highly polished finished pieces.
This set is size 1T bridge pins with black inlay dots. See our other listings for pins with other inlay options or for other sizes. This is a 3 degree pin measuring .210" diameter at the top of the tapered shaft. See important pin size information below.
Your pins arrive with an instruction sheet of helpful information for installation along with helpful hints. Purchase with confidence - we make great pins here in Dover, Ohio.
These pins are slotted the full length of the tapered shaft and through the skirt. Our pins are made in the USA and the man who makes these pins is a fastidious and meticulous craftsman who makes perfect pins. The pins from other vendors on this site are shocking to us. Pins with no collars, no foot bevels and a very low polish but most shocking is that there is no reference to pin size in their listings. They are hoping that buyers will assume one size fits all but this is not so with pins. See below:
PIN SIZE INFO:
It is very important to purchase the correct pin for your instrument. There are 3 degree pins (size 1 pins) and 5 degree pins (size 2 pins). You can put a 3 degree pin in a 5 degree hole or vice-verse and they can fit, but with the incorrect taper those pins will wear the bridge and destroy it. It is the hope of the pin seller that you will not remember where you bought the pins that ruined your guitar.
So let's figure out what pin size you need. We have a full list of guitar makes/models on our site showing pin sizes with important notes but here we can give you a brief rundown:
