Jake Wildwood has the dread version of this on his website, but this is the only folk version I’ve seen. He believes these were Yamaki made imports, and I agree. I have a Yamaki max series from the late seventies, very similar build. Abalone accents, fancier inlay on the fretboard. Really good condition, save for the chunk of wood missing from the back.
Very easy to play. Not the loudest OOO (bordering on OO, it’s smaller) I’ve played, but balanced and articulate. Nice sustain. I have 10’s on it right now, and sounds fantastic when fingerpicked.
