Very Rare. 1987 Maxxas solid body electric made by Ibanez. This model is a very early one. September of 1987 at FujiGen Gakki. Maxxas was the name given to Ibanez's experimental sub-brand during 1987-89. Inanez was so proud of the Maxxas guitars that they sent one to Steve Vai in '86, before they were released to the public. Steve was so impressed that it began the relationship between him and Ibanez leading to his signature models. The MX -2 model was the first, and the Maxxas line was considered by Ibanez to one of the there finest efforts.Vintage Guitar Magazine columist, Micheal Wright sugggest that only a few hundred ( all models) were ever produced. This example is finished in Black Pearl and is overal excellant condition. There are some nicks and dings as expected in a 38 year old guitar.
