Now available at Haggerty’s Music, this Golden Era recreation is a stunning tribute to the original ’59 Les Paul Standard — painstakingly recreated using laser-scanned dimensions, period-correct plastics, and historically accurate finishes. The Murphy Lab’s Heavy Aging gives this guitar the look and feel of a well-worn original, featuring heavy lacquer checking, weathering, and aged hardware that exude decades of use and authentic character.

Crafted with a carved two-piece figured maple top and a single-piece lightweight mahogany back, this Les Paul brings the familiar rich tone and legendary sustain of its namesake. The solid mahogany neck features a 50s Rounded Medium C profile and is joined to the body with hide glue and a long tenon, ensuring both tonal transfer and historical accuracy. A pair of unpotted Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups capture the raw, responsive voice of vintage PAFs, wired through hand-selected paper-in-oil capacitors and CTS 500K pots. Finished in a breathtaking Golden Poppy Burst nitrocellulose lacquer, aged to perfection, and housed in an aged brown/pink Lifton reissue case, this reissue is the ultimate collector’s instrument that’s ready to be played.
