This guitar rips!! Huge gorgeous tone all up and down the neck with lightning fast action and a soft touch like an electric guitar! Possibly my most favorite 12 string that I've ever played, message me for a video!

Made in in Bavaria, West Germany (when there was a West Germany) Framus definitely made some super cool and beautiful guitars. Their tone is super unique and they totally crush in the studio, they have a very focused sound that have been on a lot of records. As an instrument, this 12 string absolutely kills and defies a lot of common issues you can see with 12 strings. The action is seriously like an electric guitar, it plays effortlessly with super low action. It's hands down the softest and easiest playing 12 string I've ever played, you can pull off anything you play on a 6 string with a 12 string sound. The sound is huge and shimmering just like it should be, and it shreds so hard it feels like a whole new world of possibilities. Some 12 strings sound great but can feel a little limiting in the playability department, this one feels like there's nothing in your way. I absolutely love the sound of the European acoustic guitars with the bolt on necks. They have a certain sound that for some reason just records better! I don't know exactly what it is or how to explain it, but I've had German and Italian bolt on neck acoustics beat out expensive American guitars when it comes to sitting in the mix. It sounds like Jimmy Page's acoustic, which is a bolt on neck guitar recorded with one nice mic. The guitar feels lively and full of life, it's a blast to play. Message me for a video!

That sunburst on the top and the back is absolutely gorgeous, and I love that entire bridge assembly! Super cool looking with that deep rosewood and bright chrome. Guitar is totally original, original tuners with the white buttons function and look super great.

I spent some solid time on this one getting it to shred and dialing it in, I built a neck block for it out of a nice piece of walnut to raise the neck up to get the action perfectly where it is. That's part of the beauty of the European guitars with the bolt on necks, doing a neck reset that's otherwise a big expensive ordeal is no big thing! They're exempt from the most expensive repair in the guitar world, the dreaded neck reset. The string tension of every guitar will eventually change the angle of the neck, and to recorrect the angle on a glued in neck guitar the glue has to be melted off and it's this big thing. With the bolt on neck it still takes knowledge and skill, but it's a fun and easy walk in the park compared to the melted glue alternative.

The perfect 12 string is elusive! There's so much tension and pressure on the guitar from double the amount of strings that a lot of them fall by the wayside and develop issues. Severely bowed necks, neck angles gone totally wrong, lifted bridges, bellying on the top, the regular issues of a guitar just get exacerbated with additional tension. This guitar somehow defies all that, it totally rips like a 6 string and is 100% healthy. If you want a 12 string sound but haven't been able to muscle a lot of 12 strings you've played, this is the one.

There’s really minor condition things here and there that come with a 50 year old guitar, but nothing that gets in the way of it being a beautiful beast. The bridges for these Framus guitars were never glued on, they were just bolted on at a few points, so there's a little bit of separation but it's just how these are. The bolts do all the work.  Great guitar!
