This is an original back plate from a 1982 Fender Lead III. These plates are specific to the Lead III model and are not interchangeable with the Lead I or Lead II, as the routing and mounting pattern are unique to this model.
It shows signs of age and wear consistent with a vintage part, including some surface rust and finish wear around the edges, but remains fully functional with no cracks or warping. All screw holes and string slots are intact.
