For sale is a CL-2 mic activator from Cloudlifter.
This device is connected after a low output level microphone such as a ribbon microphone or dynamic microphone to amplify the signal by approximately 25db.
It is powered by phantom power.
I have used several similar devices from other venders, and the Cloudlifter one is very clean and nice, with no extra coloration.
The high impedance input and low impedance output also makes it ideal for impedance matching between microphones and mic preamps.
