Up for sale is a 1997 McInturff Zodiac Custom Guitar. At the time I was beginning my collection and was dealing with Eddie Berman at Indoor Storm in Raleigh. He called me when this guitar arrived and twisted my arm--it was the NAMM Show guitar and after I had paid it off and it arrived, it was so beautiful I was afraid to touch it. This guitar is as new, virtually unplayed, and has been out of the case only a handful of times.

Here is a review written by Eddie and Doug Abrams at Indoor Storm/Soundpure:

REVIEW OF THE TERRY C. MCINTURFF ZODIAC

Eddie Berman Doug Abrams

Sometimes when you are as fortunate as we are to be around once in a lifetime instrument grade instruments, even the most stunning examples of art and craftsmanship can become the norm. But then we will receive a guitar so extraordinarily beautiful and fully realized that it simply screams out from across the showroom -- I'm here. I'm what you've been searching for all your life! Then we remember how special these instruments are and how much we love being around them. This type of reaction occurred when Doug and I first laid eyes on the unbelievable Emerald Green Zodiac. This guitar was the pick of the litter at the Nashville NAMM Show this past July. This guitar combines all the elements of art and passion; and Terry McInturff's love of his craft is unmistakable. The neck and top are hand-carved. There are 100 pieces of hand laid inlay in the fingerboard. The top is AAAAA (5 A)with a deep and lush nitro-cellulose finish. The finish appears to still be wet. These features are coupled with a Honduras Mahogany back and neck.Terry has created a flawless package of looks and tone woods. This Zodiac is fitted with two humbucking P-90s bySteve Blucher at DiMarzio. These pickups are the ultimate in tone. You can hear the guitar not merely the pickups. The Pickups have more than ample output but maintain a remarkable clarity. There is simply no mud from the pickups. The Zodiac's beauty and sound are rivaled only by the guitar's playability. It virtually melts into your hands to the point that it is effortless to play. The guitar responds to your playing with the sensitivity of a finely tuned race car. Based upon your attack, the notes either jump out at you or blossom depending on your mood. The guitar instantly becomes an extension of your soul and self. Instruments of this quality really need to be played and heard to be appreciated correctly. You'd have to experience it yourself to believe it. Terry McInturff's Zodiac is aguitar of a lifetime. It does feel somewhat strange to be reviewing guitars made by a close friend; on the other hand, we confess to being delighted for Terry. Terry has worked countless hours perfecting his craft.

Well said, Eddie. It is the finest guitar I have owned and I am down to the last of the last instsruments in my collection and I'm listing it with some sadness but it needs to be in the hands of someone younger who will enjoy it.
