Original vintage c 1980 Tokai “jazz sound” bass guitar in excellent playing condition. These mij matsumoku basses were head and shoulders above anything fender USA was making at the time, and have earned a reputation among players and increasingly, collectors, as modern classics in their own right.
This one is no exception, and plays like a pampered pet. The neck is arrow straight and true, frets excellent, and she holds rock solid tune. The jazz pickups are gritty, articulate, and oh so thumpy, and she’s a joy in the hands.
Cosmetically, she’s very vintage, with plenty of genuine and authentic exterior finish and play wear, all included at no extra charge. She ships in a quality gig bag, not pictured. Enjoy!
