1995 Gibson Historic '57 Reissue Les Paul, commonly known as R7's, are always a treat to play. They have all the thickness, punch and warmth that you'd want from a classic Les Paul, with a chunky 50s style neck that feels great in your hand.
This one has zero amount of playing wear-- essentially brand new! It has rarely been played, and it was basically pulled out of its case for a quick strum and pick! Has never left the house in 20 years and basically lives in the case!
The plating on the bridge, tailpiece and pickup covers have oxidized slightly, into a light patina, but will probably polish out - has a cool, vintage vibe. The frets have zero wear. Binding shows some yellowing. Playability is outstanding and the electronics, which are original, sound great.
I did not purchase this new, but I’m pretty sure I’m the second owner. Some case candy is included – as a mid-90s reissue – Good Wood era – this was at the beginning of Gibson’s “Historic” series of instruments and it’s quality and sound are outstanding! The original hard-shell case is included.
Please keep in mind listing fees are close to $400 so selling price is not wholesale from the seller…
