This guitar is a 60th anniversary American Standard Stratocaster with changes/upgrades.
It has been painted a lovely vintage gold color with nitrocellulose lacquer by a professional luthier/guitar painter. The hardware has been swapped out for chrome (you can have too much of a good thing with all the gold) and the pickups have been swapped out for a set of Tone Specific '54 Twang pickups. The tuners have been swapped for Hipshot Grip Locks.
You can see in the pictures there are a few small nicks in the finish...this is the nature of a nitro finish. If you want a guitar that will look pristine 20 years later, you don't want one with a nitro finish. Nitro breathes and allows the guitar to resonate, but the price of that is that it is a thin finish and it will chip, nick, and scratch much more easily. I do not have the backplate cover.
In addition to the Tone Specific pickups (which alone are selling for $450 used right now), you get the original pickups that came in the guitar.
