Ludwig model 902PC Symphonic snare drum in very good to excellent condition.
Date on the inside of the shell is November 16, 1967. Serial number is 518467.
6 1/2" x 14" with 8 lugs.
Finish is listed in the 1967 catalog as Sparkling Silver Pearl. This seems to be a fairly uncommon finish. Most of these seem to be in white marine pearl.
Wrap is in excellent condition with little to no wear at all. There is some minimal separation at the seam, but it is mostly hidden by the lugs. Wrap shows minimal fading in spot. There is a picture included which shows the original color under a lug.
Interior features Ludwig's Resa-Cote finish.
Features the original P87 strainer, script logo butt plate and ball bat muffler.
All parts function as they should. Felt on the muffler is in excellent condition.
Chrome looks good with minimal pitting and scratches on a few of the lugs.
There is some wear and a section of missing chrome on the interior of the batter side hoop as shown in the photos.
A few of the tension rods appear to be mismatched as well.
Non -original snare wires. An extra plate has been attached to the strainer to help the snare cords stay in place. This is attached with the original snare wire mounting screw and can easily be removed without damaging the strainer.
Snare side head is new. Batter side head is an older Ludwig medium coated. Batter side head shows some wear.
Please take a look at the photos for the condition.
Overall, this drum is in outstanding condition for its age.
