Near mint Petty John ‘Myth’! This particular Myth was made custom with the myth internals but different knobs and light cover to give it a different kind of look. Only a small batch was made to the point where they didn’t have anymore Myth enclosures so we settled on the gold mkii enclosure since it has the same labels for the knobs. I included a picture in this listing of what the original Myth looked like.

While the MYTH boasts authentic

NOS D9E germanium diodes from the 1980's and uses a TL072 op-amp to drive them into saturation like the Klon, that's about where things diverge into a new creature of folk lore. The MYTH features our most powerful tone shaping controls, sweepable, wide-range HP and LP filters as well as a sweepable mid-range bell filter. No Klone ever offered the user this much tone shaping power. We also modified the clipping topology itself with some special secret sauce that pushes things to the next level in the headroom and feel department. Still, not enough stops, so we carefully added NOS Allen and Bradley carbon comp resistors where they count the most, resulting in more depth in the mids and smoother top, some may say more "mojo". The high-cut filter cap has been modified with a Sozo tone cap which is smooth and organic in just the right way for this circuit. Finally, we adjusted the gain range The MYTH has a full re-designed gain stage for sublime low to medium gain overdriven tones. The clipping section is the heart of an overdrive pedal and the MYTH features a special blend of two different types of germanium diodes, the classic 1N34As and authentic NOS D9E! We found this combo offered the best of both worlds, with higher headroom before clipping then most germanium style clipping.

This results in a softer clipping curve, which has better low-end, less harsh, "fizz" on the top and amazing touch sensitivity that really shines in low to medium gain range.

We also re-voiced the rest of the circuit to complement this clipping section and new gain range. We reached for some vintage NOS (New Old Stock) Allen & Bradley carbon comp resistors in the audio path for authentic MOJO these are known well for. We also experimented with the Highs cap, which now features a new cap from Sozo that was developed based on tone caps from the 50's and 60's tube amps. It offers a smooth but articulate top end profile we just love!

The MYTH is designed to be a full range pedal, which means all tones pass 20Hz to 20kHz. We did this to let the user have the most ability to shape the tone to fit their needs.
