Pearl MLX 13x11 rack tom in excellent condition. I believe this drum was manufactured in 1987 or 1988. The hardware is in excellent condition for its age, though there is some minor pitting on some of the lugs. The interior shell and bearing edges are in mint condition. There are a couple of minor dings and scratches on the exterior of the shell, cosmetic flaws that do not affect the playability or sound of this instrument, nor its beauty. It’s a gorgeous drum that has been cared for very well over the years by a single owner. The resonant head is original.
The MX/MLX Series was Pearl’s professional line and predecessor of the original Masters series. This line featured 6-ply, 7.5mm maple shells, 2.3mm Superhoops, through-shell mounting, and other professional-level components. The line featured ‘All Maple Shell’ badges in red lettering, power tom dimensions, and high-tension power lugs between 1987 and 1990.
