Pigtronix attack sustain ADSR.

I will admit what most listings will not: that this pedal is a whole can of worms. The most honest common consensus from what I can find is that it only really does what it's meant to do in very specific situations. What is this situation? I'm not sure, but definitely not mine. Probably a really strong and clean signal. I'm tuned way down with a lot of low end and humbuckers. The thinner/higher pitched strings seem to get more response in my experience, so if you have a more conventional setup and tuned to standard, that's a good start. Singlecoils wouldn't hurt either. I have managed to get more response from it using a buffered and amplified feedback loop back into the trigger (the trigger input is the big secret weapon it has going for it). The "harmonics" distortion sounds good and musical to me, but not really what the pedal was marketed for. This plus the compressor do actually work reliably, much more than the envelope shaping. I don't know what the compression ratio is or what exactly is being adjusted with the comp knob, but it seems pretty aggressive. One of the knobs says "blend", but in my experience this is very misleading, I don't think its really a blend / dry mix like you'd expect. This pedal has a proprietary power supply which is included.

From what I have gathered, it's essentially a compressor into an envelope shaper / transiet designer (hence attack and sustain). It was advertised as offering bowed string effects, reverse-tape, or tremelo, almost none of which I have been able to achieve reliably.

I have since upgraded to the philosopher king which is basically a more functional and serious version of this. This thing is so cool and I want to keep it, but I just can't really work it into the meta. Good luck
