The Harlan Jr. features a black limba “slab” body. The two-piece quarter sawn black limba neck is carbon fiber reinforced for extra stability and the Allied luthier double action truss rod allows for superior adjustment whether you are playing at home or on the road. Jeweled with mother of pearl fret markers and manicured fretwork, the 25in scale and 12in radius Gaboon ebony fretboard provides smooth and effortless playability. With a range of color options, the high luster nitrocellulose finish gives a classic look that will age beautifully with its owner.

The Single P-90 design offers simplicity, whose variety of range can be influenced by the customer's choice in pickups and electronics. Its minimalist design features a Schaller Tune-o-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece for enhanced sustain and resonance. The Gotoh 18:1 ratio tuning machine provides stability and precision for even the most heavy-handed of players.

ABOUT LUTHIER STEVE HOLZKNECHT

What can be said about a young man who started assembling and repairing guitars at the age of 13, who later on, after graduating high school, attended the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery and less than a year after graduating, was hired by Bob Benedetto where he rose to the ranks of “Senior Craftsman”. It’s not just a job, but a position that speaks volumes about the skills this man possesses.

Steve Holzknecht is a master craftsman who has mastered all aspects of guitar building from selecting the finest woods, to neck construction, carving tops and backs, setting necks, cutting and setting inlays, and finishing. He still holds his position as the “Senior Craftsman” at the Benedetto shop in Savannah Georgia, the very same shop where he builds his line of Holzknecht “Harlan” Guitars with the grace and permission of Bob Benedetto.
