Vintage 1970's Atlas Sound VM-1 microphone stand shock mount adapter # 1

       Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. 

 This is an Atlas VM-1 model shock mount adapter used for any microphone, Mic clip, microphone stand or boom arm. This desirable older item is from the 1970's and is an all brass design with a quality chrome plate which uses an internal rubber gasket that prevents unwanted feedback while your microphone is live.

 This adapter comes with it's original box and can be seen in pic # 2 in an older Atlas catalog I have.

 The VM-1 simply screws onto your stand like an old microphone would be. Once in place you can attach your mic or mic clip to the top of the adapter. Most mics pick up vibration or thumps when live producing sound that can be quite annoying so this VM-1 helps to solve that issue.

 As you can see the top and bottom chrome pieces are in pristine condition and this adapter was never used. It' N.O.S. The Atlas logo looks perfect and completely legible. The rubber gasket is in very nice shape despite it's age and will get the job done. I'd rate the cosmetic condition a true 10 on a scale of 1 - 10. Please let the detailed pics be your guide.

 This VM-1 is ideal for small to medium screw on mics and most smaller stick mics. If your mic is too top heavy or elongated the VM-1 will tilt too much to one side so be careful how large of a mic you go on these as they do have limitations. These are much better for small to medium sized mics.

 An awesome accessory for any older or newer microphone.
