Based on Mutable Instruments Ripples, Surges is a voltage controlled filter capable of high-pass, band-pass and low-pass output, with additional 2-pole or 4-pole settings for band- and low-pass.
Additional Ins and Outs
- Audio inputs – signals from input 1 and 2 are mixed together with input 1 having a dedicated level knob that can result in an overdriven sound when pushed
- CV inputs – resonance and cutoff modulation
- Voltage controlled gain for low-pass output – externally control the level of the LP signal
- Voltage controlled multimode filter which provide high-pass, band-pass and low-pass. The slope of the band-pass and low-pass output is switchable (2-pole or 4-pole)
- “Liquid” and musical tone coloration reminiscent of SH/Jupiter filters
- Loudness compensation with increased resonance
- Wide frequency range from 18 Hz to 18 kHz
- Purely analog circuitry based on legendary 2164 and 13700 semiconductors
