This speaker was in a 1970 Fender Champ Amp I purchased years ago. The speaker is an 8" Marsland that were used in Traynor amps in the 70's. It's mounted on a 3/4" Pine baffle that will fit pre 1971 Fender Champs. I replaced this speaker with a new speaker, but this is a fine sounding speaker. The fabric is wheat straw.
Some info I got online.
"Vintage 60's 70's Marsland 8CCR8 8 inch 8 ohm speaker pulled from a Traynor YSC-1 cabinet. Marslands are commonly found in vintage Canadian made Traynor and Garnet amps. Canadian date code DWE7. Great replacement for repair/restoration or custom mod. "
