For sale is a Masaru Kono/Kohno 610 1963 Golden Era Indian Rosewood in Good Condition!
This is an amazing guitar, the sound will blow you away! Has all of the volume and projection you would expect from a 60 year old Kono guitar!
The frets have just been replaced and the fretboard has been profiled. There are top cracks and one back crack that have all been professionally repaired and are 100% solid!
If you are looking for a vintage Kohno from the era when he build them all with his own two hands, this is it. As he grew in popularity he brought in many apprentices to help him keep up with demand, that’s why I also look for these early 60’s models, they are the best of the best. I sell more Kohno guitars than anyone outside of Japan, and this is an exceptional one!
At some point the side of the fretboard was shaved down where the wood meets the frets. It doesn't affect playability but it is cosmetically visible as seen in the above photos.
