This grand piano was lovingly used for decades by my father, Tom Keene, a virtuoso award-winning composer, conductor, arranger, and child prodigy pianist, until his passing a few years back. He used to select pianos for several recording studios around Los Angeles back in the day, and out of hundreds and hundreds of pianos he chose this one for himself. It has sat in our home, seen countless memories, and now it rests waiting to be played again. There are superficial marks across the exterior it gathered over time, but it still plays beautifully. I expect it would do even better with a new tuning and a little love, especially after it is moved. However, it is time to find this instrument a new home somewhere it can continue to make music.
