The Plain Jane Overdrive is just an overdrive like all others. Certain components have been changed to alter the tonal response of the circuit and the op amp is a NJM2904D chosen for its low slew rate and common mode to ground properties. This op amp changes the distortion characteristics due to the lower slew rate. The clip switch toggles between 3 diode asymmetrical and 2 red LED symmetrical clipping. This allows for different clipping gain structures and alters the harmonics of the pedal. The pedal is completely hand assembled and hand wired using quality components and produced in the RVA.
