Since its debut in 1923, the L-5™ has established itself as Gibson's quintessential archtop guitar, evolving over the decades into the CES (Cutaway Electric Spanish) model in the 1950s. By the late 1970s, the L-5CES had become a staple for jazz, blues, and country musicians, who appreciated its rich acoustic resonance and smooth electric response.
This certified master model Gibson L-5CES weighs only 3,6kg, representing the finest in Gibson custom building.
The guitar remains entirely original.
This L-5CES, built in 1996 in Nashville, is in collectible condition.
It comes with its original brown and pink Gibson hardshell case.
