Spruce top, Cypress back & sides
Signed by Manuel de la Chica, this impressive guitar is in very good condition. Of noticeably light construction, it’s incredibly resonant and responsive. It’s rare to find this kind of aged wood sound. There are 3 expertly repaired cracks in the top and they are pictured. Lots of belt buckle and button scratches in the back and sides (probably original finish) but no cracks or repairs there.
The top has been thinly refinished - probably when the repairs were done - some time ago.
