The mc_PuP YELLER Footswitch Pedal takes an expression pedal input for the wah control. This allows the artist to use any form of analog control device that produces continuous voltage changes over a 0 to 5V range. Trim adjustments on the YELLER set the level and the gain of the expression pedal control, to find the desired sweet spot for the wah effect. The XLR/QTRS/QTR instrument input passed through a volume control before the wah effect is applied. When YELLER is powered up, effects are off. The footswitch enables the wah effect, and a second hit enables overdrive effect (clipping) along with the wah. A third hit turns off both effects. Separate controls for wah depth and overdrive level provide analog adjustment of effects. The YELLER is powered by internal rechargeable batteries (adapter included). The "YIKES" light illuminates when excessive output level is detected. A pushbutton switch lets the user select a single-ended (QTS) or a balanced (QTRS) line-level output signal. Dynamic range with internal power is good, but with a user-supplied 3-rail power source (POS/GND/NEG), the headroom may be increased by as much as +/-15V.
