For sale is a stunning 1972-73 Vintage Gretsch USA Custom drum kit in beautiful original walnut lacquer finish with some of the bumps and bruises that come with a 50 plus year old kit. This 4-piece setup features the legendary Stop Sign Badges, silver sealer interiors, and Gretsch’s signature 6-ply maple/gum shells. This kit sings with warmth and resonance—exactly what you’d expect from the golden age of Gretsch tone. As with all vintage items they are sold as-is no refunds.

• Shells: 6-ply Maple/Gumwood
• Interiors: Original Silver Sealer
• Bearing Edges: 30-degree
• Badges: Original Stop Sign
• Hoops: Die-cast
• Finish: Original Walnut Lacquer

Condition:

• All original parts, but it no longer has the Tom Tom holder. It was h guy one years ago but was used with a RIMS system and toms were mounted on brackets off of Tom stands. I suggest the same for the future owner the original tom older never did the job.
• Chrome shows natural patina and wear, but is not pitted or rusted. Shines up like vintage chrome plating should.
• No extra holes, mods, or re-drills.
• Bearing edges in great shape—these tune up beautifully
• I have brand new padded bags that are included for the toms, but not one for the kick.

Tone:

Warm, open, and rich. Perfect for jazz, funk, and studio sessions. These drums record like a dream.

Shipping:

Due to the vintage and shipping costs a pick up is recommended, if you would like them shipped I will only do a crate. So I would guess a additional 300-350 for a crate and freight to the lower 48.
