Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..
A really cool and well played, 1973 Yamaha Model FG-160-1 Dreadnought guitar with the original Soft Shell Case. We got the date from the serial number on the neck block.
This guitar was well loved as evidenced by the finger divots in the first few frets... The frets are still fine but this guitar has been around. Numerous dings and scratches but no damage! It was played hard but all Player wear. Cool finish crazing is showing up on the sides and back. Looks like Mahogony there and a Solid Spruce top...The neck is nice and straight and our Tech set it up with a new set of Dr Ducks 11 guage Phosphorus Bronze strings. It plays great with easy playing low action. A pleasure to play!

Yes, this guitar has a solid Spruce top. Hard to find a solid Spruce top with Rosewood Back and sides for under $400!! This one plays great and has the Original Case!
When we got it, it had incorrect tuners and they were drilled out to enlarge the tuner holes. We put a Made in Japan set of tuners on it. One is not from the set but is very close...see pics..we added the plastic tuner grommets to cover the enlarged holes. It looks correct now. The guitar originally had a pickup installed at some point. There is an also enlarged end pin hole that we put a chrome cover over. See pic 11...We added the missing truss rod cover so the guitar looks great now!
The guitar has a 1 11/16 inch nut and a 25 inch scale neck. The lower bout measures 16 1/4 inches. Just some Player dings and scratches. Nothing major to point out. The pickguard and original bridge are both tight to the body. No gaps... Its in great shape for being 52 years old.
Ships in the shown Original Soft Shell case. The case still has the original latches, hinges and handle. The accessory box is there but of course the lid is missing. The case has also been around but is still protecting this cool guitar. Check those pics!
