The Teletronix La-2a is one of the most revered compressors of all time. Its musical perfection has be found in studios all over the world since the 1960s and it is still made today by Universal Audio. This unit is an early "Grayface" version from when they were built in South Pasadena in the early 1960s using the highly desirable UTC HA-100X transformer. Last serviced by Fredo of Pinebox Pro Audio. We can see from the tag on the rear it was previously serviced by Retro Instruments Inc. Serial No. #425.
