These are extremely rare amazing EV exclusive super high-end 3-way audiophile quality X-Array concert speakers I bought new for a demo system, ended-up in my living room (see photos), can't say how much I love them, never thought I'd sell them. They were considered the best sounding concert speakers ever made which is impressive compared to Meyer, who at the time were making wonderful ground breaking speaker systems as well. EV leapfrogged Meyer, it was a fun time.

This model has 40+ exclusive RMD engineering enhancements built-in!!! They're the best of the best in the industry, just ask anyone, ask The Rolling Stones.

They rarely come on the market & when they do they're from regional touring companies where they've had a tough life, are heavily used, where as my pair are in near mint condition & have always been in my living room. If you could even find another pair, there's no chance of finding another babied pair like these ever, highly collectible, take care of them & they'll go up in value, an investment you can enjoy.

Also completely Made in the USA!! I'm only selling them because I need the $$, hate to sell them, but can get by on my EV Sx500+ speakers.

RMDâ„¢ (Ring-Mode Decoupling) is the exclusive advanced technology built into the X-Arrayâ„¢ concert touring series which EV engineers invented. RMDâ„¢ produces substantially improved tonal character and fidelity whether operated at low or extremely high sound pressure levels. RMDâ„¢ attacks time domain "ringing modes" at their sources. Mechanical solutions resolve mechanical issues, and acoustical solutions address acoustical modes found in all sound reinforcement systems, this model has 40+ RMD solutions built-in!!! The combination of each RMDâ„¢ technique provides improved tonal character and fidelity at increasing drive levels. The result is clear, even sound quality with vastly improved intelligibility.

Warning: The RMD or Ring Mode Decoupling makes it so clear its normal to want to turn it up more, please use a SPL meter & if you think its too loud, it is. You've been warned, be careful, they're super clear & very powerful. Take care of your ears, you only get one pair.

This X-Array speaker has a 3" top of the line EV titanium compression driver on a Constant Directivity (invented by EV) horn, & an exclusive 10" EV RMD midrange woofer, & an exclusive 12" RMD woofer. Ideally this speaker would be paired with a 15" or 18" subwoofer. I used 2 EV TL606DW dual 15" subwoofers with them. Why 15" subs? Because they're more musical than 18s, which are better suited for boomy sounds like explosions, dinosaurs stomping, etc based on my 40 years of experience & research. Yes, I'm an audiophile, so is my Dad who has decades more experience in the high-end pro audio industry. He's all to blame & thank. Love you Dad.

These speakers are best used with an EV Dx-38 multi-processor which does crossover, EQ, component time alignment created by golden ear guys at EV, Midas, DDA, KT, & Dynacord all at the push of a button, its all I use. They average around $500 used & are made in Straubing, Germany by Dynacord which was bought by EV in the 90s, fantastic quality.

Electro-Voice EV was created in 1928, was a founding part of the high-end professional audio industry along with RCA, Altec, & few others. Electro-Voice EV bought Altec, was the last of founding companies.

I used to be a manufacturer's representative for Electro-Voice (as well as about 2 dozen others manufacturers like Dynacord, Lexicon, Aphex, KRK, etc), amazing company, I'm very proud to have represented them. Great people too. Amazing world class engineering & factory as well. Truly world class. I used them in my home audiophile system for a few years, they got light use. These are very high-end concert speakers, better than EAW, JBL, etc, have been used by the top touring companies around the world that only use the best like Clair Brothers. This model comes with reinforced 13-ply birch hardwood plywood cabinets with Black textured paint & built-in L-Track flying hardware that's never been used. These are the install version of the X-Array concert speakers, the same as the concert touring version but with L-Track fly hardware.
