This is a real awesome Jazz box! Built by one of the best archtop builders in the world. Ric McCurdy!
This guitar is in very good condition, and in perfect working order. Has some wear here and there but in very good shape for it's shape. Everything on the guitar is original and there are no cracks, repairs, or issues of any sort. The neck is straight with no issues and plays great. The original frets are in good condition with lots of life left. There is no buzzing or dead spots. Comes with a custom Ameritage guitar case worth 700 alone! Pickups work fine and all the electrical components work as they should.
Here's a little bit more information on the build itself:
guitar built by luthier Ric McCurdy in 1999 for New York City jazz guitarist John Zweig. Body is 17 inches and fully carved with a glossy black finish and flamed maple bindings. It has a slightly wider neck width than normal 1 3/4. It boasts one Humbucker pickup (that can be split by pulling out the Volume knob), and a separate Piezo pickup system under the bridge (with separate control panel, featuring discrete Blend, Treble, and Bass controls. The scale length (measured from the bridge to the nut) is 25 1/4 inches. This McCurdy has interior sound posts (connecting the top to the back), which help to eliminate feedback. (I also attached a picture of the paper that explains about all the specs).
It's a very unique guitar and really a joy to play.
