Description:

Original vintage Gibson NOS (New Old Stock) truss rod cover, intended for Les Paul Custom models from the late 1950s to early 1960s. This rare piece is in unused condition, never installed, and comes from a trusted Reverb seller from whom I purchased it years ago for a restoration project.

I originally bought it to restore my 1968 Gibson Les Paul Custom, but noticed this cover is slightly longer than the one used on 1968 Customs. After research and comparisons, I believe this one belongs to an earlier Les Paul Custom, most likely from 1959–1960, or possibly even mid-1950s. This variation in length is consistent with authentic parts from that earlier period.

  • Black with white bevel edges, classic Custom-style
  • No screw holes drilled or damaged
  • Authentic vintage part, not a reissue
  • Perfect for museum-quality restorations or collectors

These original truss rod covers are incredibly hard to find in NOS condition, especially for Les Paul Customs from the golden era. Ideal for a ‘50s Black Beauty restoration or any high-end vintage project.
