For sale is an AKG microphone that was branded under their Maestro line, and this one is the DM-500. This microphone has a nice warm tone with a good midrange that is very similar to the other AKG mics such as the D190, and D1000. The old foam inside the grille was removed, followed by the grille getting scrubbed down and new foam installed! As a result, this microphone is good to go and there is nothing to worry about. Additionally, the diaphragm/capsule was cleaned to remove debris such as metallic fragments that can affect the frequency response. The capsule inside is the same as the one found in the D1000E, with the only difference being the different grille design.
