Adopts an asymmetric overdrive circuit inherited from the OD-1, and is newly equipped with a tone control that can boost/cut the high frequency range. Due to changes in the circuit details, it has a slightly higher gain and solid feel compared to the OD-1. You can create sweet, mild distortion without killing the subtle nuances of picking. The installed operational amplifier is JRC4558DD (glossy), and there are also NEC C4558C', which was installed in the very early days, and JRC4558D, which was installed around 1982. The SD-1 was manufactured in Japan until mid-1989, and then the production line was moved to Taiwan. There is a feeling of use overall, but there is no problem with operation.
