Holloman Custom Drums Ash/Mahogany drum set - hand rubbed urethane over Danish Oil

This beautiful crafted Ash segmented drum set with two mahogany pinstripes was built for Acoustics for Autism. America's largest free music event. Acoustics for Autism is a one day event that local artist from North West Ohio play in Maumee, Ohio on the first Sunday of March every year to raise money for families who have children with autism. Every year we provide drum sets for two of the stages for this event for free. This kit was played on an outdoor stage under at tent for the day. The drum heads on this kit have not been changed out since the event. Since the drums were played for this one time event I do consider them used but they are in impeccable shape, how ever now that they are considered used we would like to pass this savings on to you so we can build a brand new kit for next years event. 

Segmented drums are built similar to stave drums except the grain is horizontal not vertical. This results in multiple rings thus giving the shell a "brick wall" look or a "butcher block" finish. The shells have considerably less glue than your traditional plied shell. Allowing it resonate more giving it a more organic sound. It also has a much stronger structure than steam bent and stave shells, making it much stronger and more reliable.

The drums are outfitted in chrome hardware. Beaver tail lugs, 2.33 hoops, heavy duty spurs, die cast beaver tail bass claws, maple bass hoops, Evans drum heads, and an isolation mount for the rack tom. The isolation mount also includes a custom ash cover over the plate, that was made from the same wood used to make the shells. The bearing edges on all of the drum shells are 45 degree inside cut with a round over outside cut giving it a nice sustain. The shells are all finished in a hand rubbed urethane over a danish oil.
