Sonic Evaluation
This OM-42 is a savage beast! When I say it sounds rich, I mean rich in the sense of Scrooge McDuck diving into a vault of gold coins, except with overtones instead of money. It has a wonderfully warm, chocolate-y low-end that contrasts beautifully with the lush, sparkling, sunny highs--ying and yang in perfect balance! It's also quite responsive, with the note popping out of the soundhole with force upon the attack. Speaking of which, the attack has the perfect amount of sag before blooming into full resonance. It's also quite easy to get the top moving, so it reaches its volume ceiling with very little effort. It responds best to a light-to-medium touch, and playing it brought out all sorts of thoughtful, nuanced musical ideas from my brain. If you're looking for a rich-sounding, responsive OM, this guitar will handle business for you!
