Hi! I am the original maker of the Freakshow Effects Brown Rabbit, which later was simply called "the Rabbit". The once-upon-a-time #1 pedal at Musitoyz.com! 

Back from a 7+ year Hiatus! I have had MANY people ask me where I went and if they could get a pedal....I have been making guitar amps and only recently decided to make a very limited number of effect pedals again....see my store to see what I have available.

About the TUBE Janky Drive
The TUBE Janky Drive is my take on the Hermida Audio "Zendrive 2" tube overdrive pedal. This has a different tone compared to the original non-tube Zendrive. It has a smoother more fluid tone to it as a lead and has a rounder overall sound as an overdrive when compared to the non tube version. My personal favorite is to stack this with either another OD pedal or a slightly overdriven tube amp. It gets really close to that Eric Johnson or David Gilmour lead tone this way.

I have confirmed with a friend who owns an original early production Zendrive 2 that the TUBE Janky Drive does match tone very closely.... so closely that he sold his original Zendrive 2!!!

CONTROLS ARE:

• Volume - pretty simple here!
• Tone - an effective tone control, from bassy and dull (CCW) to trebly and brite (CW)
• Voice -  All the way to one side will give you more treble and gain, turned the other way will give you less gain but a fatter tone overall. This knob is what sets this design apart from all others. You need to experiment a lot with this to find your sweet spot. This control is basically something to help dial in the tone to a particular amp or cabinet more "finely"
• Gain - varies the amount of drive from very light overdrive to just shy of a distortion pedal.

This pedal contains a 12AX7 tube and therefore must have a robust power supply. I recommend at least 300ma but a 500ma such as a strymon supply is better. A standard center-negative 9v DC supply is required.....using more than 9v WILL ruin the pedals tube.
