Johnny was a personal friend of mine. His favorite wood was Maple, and his favorite size was 6 1/2 X 14. I own his personal favorite drum he gifted me in that configuration.
This particular drum is signed by Saul Rocha. In my opinion the Golden Era of Johnny's drums were signed by Johnny. Since his passing, his chosen apprentice Saul has signed the highest quality examples in my opinion. My entire Craviotto collection including the original Timeless Timber Snare I own are all signed by Johnny, and Saul Rocha since his passing.
